Maru

Maru is a Korean style restaurant located near the park Tembosch. It is a cozy, artistic and refined Korean food bar and restaurant. One of their many famous dishes is the japchae, a glass noodle salad with cooked vegetables and sesame seeds. Another classic is the bibimbap, a steaming hot pot containing rice, egg, meat (optional), and vegetables, with the hot pot making it slightly crispy while you eat. The owner, Kyky, is super welcoming as you enter the shop and the restaurant is incredibly neat as shown! My first experience couldn't have been any better, as I ordered the bibimbap (my personal favorite) and the flavors came rushing in. In the evening, you can have barbecued meat, as the tables replace with grills and Kyky always flips over the meat pieces. Now always make sure you are looking at your food because if you don't, then your meat may overcook slightly!

The restaurant is located:

510 Chaussée de Waterloo, 1050 Ixelles and it's open from Tuesday to Sunday!
